Call for Proposals 2019
Conference Dates: October 24th - 26th, 2019
The ISAPN Program Committee is inviting you to submit abstracts for the 2019 APRN Midwest Conference.
The APRN Midwest Conference is a 3 day program developed by APRN’s for APRN’s.
This annual meeting is the largest in the state of Illinois. It combines topical conference sessions that cover pressing issues across clinical, professional and legislative topics as well as a unique opportunity to network with APRN’s from all practice areas (CNP, CNS, CNM & CRNA.)
The profession is changing rapidly and ISAPN works hard to make sure that its members are provided with the best educational programs and the Continuing Education credits necessary to satisfy all license requirements.
AND now, more than ever, APRN’s are entrepreneurs and business leaders. No matter what APRN practice area, our goal is to offer what is needed for professional growth.
Focus areas for your proposal are:
Deadline for Submissions – April 5th, 2019
One thing we know about our audience is that they do not want to be talked at; they want to be engaged and challenged. So put on your creative thinking cap and give us your best topic! We are definitely interested in increasing our "hands on” clinical sessions. We ask that if you know of someone who specializes in the aforementioned topics that you please pass along this call for an abstract.
The majority of Conference attendees are practitioners representing the various clinical specialties. Meeting attendees are looking for content that details new technologies and strategies as well as the tried and true methods for dealing with complex diagnoses. Therefore, we are looking for content in all areas of advanced practice nursing to help both our knowledgeable and experienced audience and our novice practitioners explore new ways to provide healthcare services.

Session Speaker Expectations
If your session proposal is accepted, all session speakers are expected to meet ALL posted dates and deadlines.
We reserve the right to adjust any session that does not meet deadlines. Also, please understand that we take our evaluation data very seriously. We ask participants to rate the session and the session speakers on a 1-5 scale (1=extremely dissatisfied/5=extremely satisfied). The goal is for all our session speakers to receive a 4.0 or higher. With this in mind, we ask that during your session you:
After you submit your abstract you will receive a confirmation of your submission. Please keep this confirmation in your files. You will be notified on the status of your submission as we work through the review process. If you are a supplier to the healthcare industry, you must include at least one healthcare practitioner as a co-presenter and your presentation must focus on educating the audience rather than trying to sell a particular product or service. This will ensure your session has the best chance of being considered for selection.
PLEASE NOTE: Upon acceptance, ISAPN may modify the session title and description to fit our marketing style and format guidelines for the purpose of the brochure, website, and onsite guide. You will have the opportunity to approve/edit if needed.
Should you have questions please contact Joanne Buckley at firstname.lastname@example.org
Please provide the following information on your abstract:
Name of presenter(s), email, phone number, title of abstract, length of presentation, and maximum capacity (if applicable)
In 350 words or less, please provide a clear and concise summary of the content and objectives you would like to present and its relevance to advanced practice nursing.
