Nurse Lobby Day

April 3, 2019

Please join your nurse colleagues on Wednesday, April 3rd as we gather in Springfield to bring home our message regarding the role of nurses in the future of Illinois healthcare. As RNs and APRNs, it is critical that we remain engaged in the political process and continue to advocate for our profession by showing legislators we are unified in supporting legislation that improves access, reduces cost, and advances the profession of nursing.

CE* is jointly provided by the Illinois Nurses Foundation, ANA-Illinois and ISAPN.

Boot Camp

April 27, 2019

To be held at St Anthony's College of Nursing in Rockford. 

Boot Camp is a one-day program designed to provide today's APRN's with practical information to help them in their practice.  Participants receive timely, up to date perspective from seasoned practitioners giving them a "leg up" in a competitive marketplace. 

It really is a must-attend for practicing APRN's who are considering a career change and APRN's nearing graduation. Topics include - Transitioning from RN to APRN; Interviewing Skills; Contract Formation & Negotiation; Malpractice Issues; Reimbursement 101; and the Nurse Practice Act. 


Pharmacology Update - Springfield

Pharmacology Updates are a single day program and a must attend for the APRN.

Now more than ever practitioners must keep current with updates for the drugs widely prescribed in primary and specialty healthcare to address the issues and concerns that commonly arise with their use in the treatment of adult and pediatric patients.

Building on the knowledge base of past programs expert faculty who have demonstrated expertise and a passion for education of their peers, the Pharmacology update provides a unique and valuable opportunity to increase or maintain prescribing skills, stay current with the latest in pharmacology, and get needed pharmacology contact hours.


Pharmacology Update - Chicago

June 5, 2019

Pharmacology Updates are a single day program and a must attend for the APRN.

This session will focus on prescribing and treatment of individuals with mental health, substance abuse or behavioral disorders. Topics will include benzodiazepine detoxification, suboxone treatment and the APRN, psychotropics in primary care, prescribing and optimizing antidepressants, geriatric psychopharmacology, and Alcohol Use Disorder.



APRN Essentials

October 23, 2019

In response to a growing demand from APRN's who are practicing in a variety of settings we are building on successful courses and have added some new sessions in this 8.25-hour course.

The Essentials Workshop is designed for any APRN who is interested in learning new or brushing up on skills in wound care / suturing; office skin procedures; treating and injecting painful trigger points; X Ray interpretation and basic splinting.

Registration will open in June. 


APRN Boot Camp 201

August 2019

This is ISAPN's newest program, building on the needs of new APRNs to learn how documentation, coding and reimbursement are tied together. This will be a 6 hr CE program.
