Legislative Alert: Nurse Practice Act Amendment Filed
Make Appointments to Meet with Your State Senator and Representative April 2-16
Amendment 1 to House Bill 119, the Nurse Practice Act, has been filed. The amendment becomes the version of the Nurse Practice Act that ISAPN and other nursing groups throughout Illinois have been working on for more than 18 months. The amendment can be viewed at http://www.ilga.gov/legislation/95/HB/PDF/09500HB0119ham001.pdf. Caution: The amendment is more than 250 pages, so make sure you have sufficient printing supplies if you plan to print the entire bill out.
The amendment has been assigned to committee for review.

Use this Fact Sheet when meeting with your legislators to discuss the importance of this bill for APNs. The General Assembly will be in recess from April 2 through April 16.
